When Sammy agrees to help out at an exclusive garden party, she expects nothing more than a day’s work and a story to tell afterwards. Instead, she finds herself unexpectedly offered a job at Brambleton Hall, complete with a housekeeper's cottage and the chance to begin again.

The trouble is, fitting into life at the grand old house proves far from simple. Her new boss is an old-fashioned butler with meticulous standards, the cleaning lady isn’t convinced Sammy belongs there, and the intriguing estate gardener, Nate, is keeping his distance. The closer she gets, the more determined he seems to keep his heart safely out of reach.
